The Payomet Performing Arts Center.

Over the summer The Payomet in Truro is an awesome venue to see a wide range of artists. Their home base sits atop a bluff overlooking the Outer Beaches and Atlantic Ocean. It is a beautiful location and on a clear day you may even see Great Britain. Currently, the Payomet uses alternative venues for their shows. This year Roger McGuinn of The Byrds will be playing on Saturday May 5 at The Tilden Arts Center on the campus of Cape Cod Community College in West Barnstable. Lisa Fischer a well-known backup singer who was featured in the documentary “Twenty Feet From Stardom”.   If you are a fan of classic rock you have heard Lisa sing opposite Mick Jagger on Gimme Shelter.  Lisa Fischer and Grand Baton will appear at Provincetown Town Hall on June 9.
